The Sickies

Whoever coined the term "morning sickness" was apparently a little misguided- or perhaps just fortunate. Unfortunately, I have not been among that lucky throng that simply experiences "morning sickness". It HAS, however, been..... Morning, noon, night sickness, and all hours and minutes in between.
I have to say that I am not all THAT surprised as I suffered a little with our Andrew, and QUITE ALOT with our little Anna Kate. I venture to say, however, that this time may be a little worse. I've had to resort to lots of meds to keep anything at all down lately, and still the weight loss is creeping up there.
Today has been, well, better (I am hesitant to even type it). After the threat of being hospitalized yesterday, I had a little talk with God and the "little star" growing inside me, and things calmed down a little last night ( the chicken broth and crackers did not star in a repeat performance)!!! Today the sun is peeking through a bit, and I feel as if I can at least see the shadow of my old self beginning to appear. I miss playing with my kids.... Daddy has taken over cooking (as the sight of food just about sends me over the edge) as well as laundry (at least the clothes are clean!) and we have hired someone to do the cleaning for the next few weeks. Hopefully today is the start of feeling better, and leaving the YUCK behind !!!

Ahhh...the preggy sickness. Don't miss it one bit, even though its worth every minute of it when you hold that precious baby.

Hope you get to feeling better soon. Remember...this too shall pass.

Oh, you poor thing! I know exactly what you are going through and I am so sorry! I hope you get to feeling better soon.
With each of the girls I was put in the hospital 6 times and then home health had to come out and start ivs and meds for me. It was always so hard to be put in the hospital but I always felt so much better. Atleast for a couple of days until it started all over. How far along are you? I hope this will pass soon. Keeping you in our prayers.

I have been there as well. My second was the worst, I was pretty much incapacitated. Luckily, my third pregnancy was better. It sure is hard keeping up with the kiddos when you feel so yucky.

So sorry to hear you've been so unwell with your pregnancy.
I've just found out I'm expecting my 3rd child too.
I was very ill with numbers 1 & 2(lived with my head in a bucket!), but so far this time round, I'm just nauseous & moody, which is good, as I've just started homeschooling.
I will pray that things turn quickly for the better for you, and that the rest of your pregnancy is smooth sailing.

I can totally relate...all 4 I was sick, even on delivery day! After the babies were born, I was absolutely fine and felt no sickness whatsoever. Pregnancy and I do not get along well....but I love that time so much, too. I had to take meds with the last 2, just to function and homeschool my older ones. Not fun, but so worth it!

I'll be praying that you start feeling better and that this does not last!
