Godspeed

Andy and Kiddos at send-off ceremony

.....We dropped Andy off this morning. We had an absolutely wonderful (WHIRLWIND!) week, and I am looking forward to some much needed REST this weekend. I am doing okay, I suppose- alot better than I was earlier this morning. I know that I have to be strong (even though I DON'T feel like it!), and that there are lots of other women and families going through this with me! Frankly, I am quite glad that that the "deployment clock" started ticking away this morning. Every day is one day closer to him being home! I am so thankful to have all of my family so close, and will have lots of company! Here are some pics from this week's adventures...
Happy Saturday and
Much Love,
Jennifer

I'll be praying for safety for your husband and that the Lord will watch over you and your children while Andy is away. I hope the time goes by *very* quickly for you all.

I so remember those days when my hubby was in the Navy and he had to leave on deployment. I remember it was hard...but how I also started that "clock ticking" as soon as he left, counting down the time!

I'll be praying for safety and for God's blessings on your family while he is away!

Mine is leaving VERY soon for a 7 month deployemnt too....so I feel for you...I'm sure we'll both get thru it ok...there'll be some hard times and some happy times...and some just plain Crazy times I'm sure!!....have you been thru many deployments? I've been thru a few....but this is the longest one...so far in 23 years of Navy life he's never done a 6+ month deployment before.....other wives have had to go thru this more than once...so I realize I've been lucky...

Hi! I just found your blog and wanted to let you know that if there is anything I can do to support your husband and his unit through our organization (eMailOurMilitary.org) let me know! It would be our pleasure. Anything we can do to help support our troops is a joy.
