Taa- Daaaaaa !!

Well, not quite .... but getting there !! So many of you were so sweet in leaving me comments and being so encouraging when I got my sewing machine and started my classes, that I thought I would share what has been done so far on my project! It is a blouse (please tell me that you can at least tell that!!) and I have sewed front and back together, done the darts, set the sleeves in, sewed up the sleeve seams and sewed the side seams. It has been so much FUN! Next I have to set the collar, do the cuffs, buttons, buttonholes, and oh! the interfacing. I'll let y'all see the finished product later. So now, maybe I can begin to sew items together after they have been smocked/embroidered, etc.... Seems as if I have learned things backwards, doesn't it?? Fancy stuff first, then the basics.... O well, if ONLY I had been a better pupil when mama tried to teach me *sigh*... guess I was too busy being a teenager! Have a great one, girls!

Happy Thursday and
Much Love,
Jennifer

Wow! I'm so impressed! I tried to make a blouse in high school (sewing class assignment). Let's just say it was less than stellar :) Someday I hope to be brave enough to try it again.

Very nice Jen! I love making dresses for my girls, it is so rewarding and satisfying to see them wearing them. And they love to tell people that Mommy made it. My oldest is not as fond of it anymore, but it'll be alright!
Have a great day!

Jennifer, I love the shirt. I love polka dots and the 3/4 sleeve cut is great for different seasons. I'm hoping to one day learn hot to do basic sewing and then smocking. I love buying my 3yr old smocked shirts, dresses, and etc. I'd rather learn to do it on my own though. I hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed day! Mrs.Clark

P.S. I see that your husband is in the military. My husband is also. We are stationed at Fort Bragg, Nc but we live off base in Fayetteville. My husband is here training for Special Forces. He will be living in October for a 10 week course. So please keep me in prayers that I can get through each day without him. It's so hard when he leaves! Mrs.Clark

My computer is acting up this morning - so I am going to make this quick - WAY TO GO!!! Love it. I actually thought when the page loaded you had found another item to give away!!! It looks really good. Keep up the good work!!!One of these days maybe, just maybe, I will make something that looks nice enough to show. Gotta take the first step though and get out the machine :o)
