Some of my "favorite things" are
unique vintage or antique items like this GLASS Jergens lotion bottle, and the antique (circa WWI) framed print... with
convex glass! The lotion bottle belonged to my great-great aunt, and I really don't know exactly how old it is... but it is so cool, isn't it? The print is one I found at an antique store, and just HAD to have... the caption reads...
Duty calls.... It is a soldier leaving his wife at the front gate to go off to war. It just seemed so fittingly appropriate with my hubby leaving to go to Iraq in the near future... Anyway, just a couple of my "favorite things"...
Happy Tuesday!
Much love,
Jennifer

Jennifer,
I LOVE the Jergens bottle! How pretty- makes me wish for the olden days when even the most utilitarian item was made fashionable! Sigh...:o)
I love the print, too. I have a print in an oval frame (very similar to yours) of my grandfather in his WWII uniform from when he was stationed in England. I love it- and having it hung reminds me constantly of the sacrifice these soldiers made and are making for our country. Also, best wishes to you and your hubby as he prepares for his deployment. :o)
Looking forward to seeing more of your favorite things... :o)
In His joy,
Mrs. Wilt
I just found your site and am so enjoying it. I am also from Mississippi and my husband just got back in Jan. from an 18 month deployment, of which he spent 12 months in Iraq. Our families prayers are with you.
Blessings,
Trixi
